Scary Movie Boxset

These movies are so funny with great acters, anna faris is comedy gold.

Could someone that as bought this box set tell me wether scary movie 3 and scary movie 3.5 are the same or slighty different

This four star rating is for the Boxset as a whole and because following the first film, the rest are not as good. Heres how things break down in my opinion:

SCARY MOVIE: very clever parody or many films (I Know What You Did Last Summer, Not Another Teen Movie, Scream etc) which has many different forms of humour from quips about parody films themselves to jokes related to the cast and crew. There is also a lot of sexually orientated humour within this; however it is necessary considering the films that this film is parodying - namely all those Teen Movies. The characters are also very funny and especially Cindy's dad, Shorty and Ray (The latter not being gay people!) While the plot is very well put together for a spoof and comes to a satisfying conclusion - 4 Stars.

Best Line - Ray: What? I ain't gay!!

SCARY MOVIE 2: Not going to write much about this as it was not a very good film. The overblown hype surrounding the series continues but the brilliantness of the first film is let down by this shoddy sequel - even Ray cannot make me laugh at this. Could have been much better and it was all hit and miss from here on - 1 Star.

SCARY MOVIE 3: A lot better than the second film, but no way near as good as the original. That said this film starts to steer away from the sexual jokes that remained in the first sequel despite the fact that they were not needed at all. David Zucker (Airplane! Naked Gun) also takes the helm for this film which has a nice nod to Airplane towards the end and some Airplane inspired jokes, however nothing can better the film itself or the original Scary Movie. 3rd Movie - 3 Stars.

SCARY MOVIE 4: This looked good from the trailer and made it seem like a vast improvement on the last two. The spoof of the War of the Worlds was also something I wanted to see as I had not long seen Spielberg's remake, sadly however this film feels like nothing more than a cash-in. The sexual jokes have been replaced by toilet humour, the others a very weak compared to those in three and the original and the spoofs are in no way as clever as early on in this series and many series' that have gone before. I expected so much more from Mr Zucker. A pure cash-in, nothing more, they should have ended the series before it got to this point as thanks to this and many films the like the genre is now tired and needs a new lease of life. Heres hoping we get just that - 2 Stars.

I love these films and for a tenner there great value.
