Eraserhead is David Lynch's first full length feature film and was completed over a 5 year period between 1972 and 1976. His post-apocalyptic, dystopian, nightmare vision has amazed and disturbed audiences for over 30 years. In 2000 Lynch underwent the painstaking process of cleaning, restoring and remastered the film frame by frame in order to "obtain the best image and sound quality possible". The result brings a brand new dimension to a 'cult classic' that will continue to astonish audiences and dumbfound critics.

Weird and wonderful. David Lynch has never explained the film or it's meaning.. you have to make up your own mind!

David Lynch's first movie which took the world by storm...or should we say shocked the world.
This is technically an amatuer movie which was made during Lynch's days at art/film school. He used a small budget, and after that budget was spent he took a number of jobs to earn money to get the movie finished. Now 30+ years after it was first seen it's still confusing minds and shocking people to the fullest extend. Lynch shows his early skills as a film maker and a surrealist bringing together a mixture of images which easily bring a million thoughts to the mind of the viewer.
If you're a fan of David Lynch's movies then this should already be one of your favourites, and if its not then obviously your DVD collection is missing it!
This is certainly not a movie for everyone! If you like Art House movies or movies like Lynch's then you'll certainly enjoy this. it's a movie like you've never seen before, it was original back in the 70's and still is nowadays.

David Lynch has refused to give us his interpretation of this film which has left people speculating its meaning for years and years. It is a completely surreal experience that will have you pulling confused and shocked faces throughout! Shot in black and white, it follows the life of Henry Spencer who is facing fatherhood in a decaying urban hell. Along with that, he struggles to fight his obsessions with 'the beautiful lady across the hall' and the 'lady in the radiator' amongst other things. I think it is a very symbollic film and most of what you see is probably representitive of something rather than taking it literally. If you like Lynch's other works and haven't seen this yet, it is not to be missed. If you like strange movies that get you thinking, then also give it a go but be warned, this is not a movie for everyone!

 Eraserhead.

To start this is an incredibly wierd film which is hard to follow. Its not a film for everyone, as with every Lynch film but for those who are fimiliar with his work or those who like to try something new this is a must see.
