Lilo, a little girl in Hawaii, unknowingly adopts a dog she names Stitch, who is actually an evil alien. Stitch is really a criminal whose ship crashed on Earth while he was being transported to an intergalactic prison. He is only taking the form of a dog (thus hiding two of his six legs) to escape detection from alien police who are searching for him. Through her love, faith and unwavering belief in "ohana" (the Hawaiian concept of family), Lilo helps unlock Stitch's heart, unexpectedly giving him the one thing he was never designed to have--the ability to care for someone else.

Although the animation is not perhaps the best, the unusual story is both engaging, funny and touching too. A strange little film that somehow works, and even to my adult mind is one of the best Disney films for years.
A classic!

Lilo & Stitch is one of my favourtie films and I am 21! It's comical, cute and really tugs at the heart strings! I really love the bond between Lilo & Stitch, and throughout the film there are some really funny moments. A happy ending all round which is what I wanted for Stitch!
Adorable

Lilo & Stich is such a lovely film! It tells the highly original story of a little Hawaiian girl who is orphaned encountering an experimental creature from outerspace and quickly befriending it. The animation is exquisite and the voice cast are on top form throughout both the comedic and adventurous elements of the story. The music is magnificent and very fitting to the film as most of it is Hawaiian influenced and features Hawaiian singers and instruments. An excellent if often overlooked Disney film that will touch your heart and also leave you with a smile on your face by the end.
