This trilogy is suitable for so many people, and can offer so much enjoyment just to watch these films! Brendan Fraser (and family) steal the show, contributing to the raucous and exciting 'The Mummy' and 'The Mummy Returns', arguably the two best films by far here, with inventive stories being told about ancient Egypt and its many secrets, added to stunning action pieces and finished off with the always light comedy feel behind the movies. I loved watching The Mummy films, and so did my family/friends. The Scorpion King sheds a more serious tone, with Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock) taking over the lead role, yet presents another strong movie. All three, and most notably the first two are excellently pulled off pharoah-egypt action movies that will have your attention and entertain you for hours.

UNDEMANDING FUN, LET DOWN BY SHODDY CGI RECRIATIONS!

| | See all SECTION8's reviews (1336)

All three movies are good Saturday morning matinee movies and great fun, but none can compare to the brilliance of the Indy movies.
The films run at a great pace, with some good spookey moments, but nothing what you could call scary.
The mummy CGI creation on the first film still does impress. But the CGI in the sequel The Mummy Returns seem very rushed, and would look more at home in a computer game. The sequel again is bigger and far more bloated, but it does have some brilliant action sequences.
What lets the sequel down the most is the shoddy CGI Sporpion King it really does look crappy!
And the Giant wave sequence looks like it could have done with a few more days of work on it from the effects guys.
The spin-off movie The Scorpion King is a bargain basement Conan, but without any of the class of the early Arnie outing. But the Rock does make a good action hero.
This box-set is good undemanding fun.
I can only hope the rumoured Mummy 3 has better CGI effects.
