Brilliant dvd, teaches you some history behind some martial arts, shows you demonstrations of techniques and introduces to many forms of martial arts that you may never have heard of
Also, never mess with the Thaiwanese special forces, they're scary

Excellent DVD portraying many unusual fighting arts as well as traditional arts at their grass roots level. Chris shows the arts for what they really are...a way of inflicting pain on an opponent..but also where appropriate a way to heal as well.
I have met Chris and trained with him and he is as up front in the flesh as in his series. A MUST buy for anyone with a diverse interest in world martial arts.

This particular dvd ticks all the boxes. He makes the different styles of fighting come to life and shows their street value to everyday people. He also introduces you to some living legends in the martial arts world.
Simply, do yourself a favour and buy this dvd!

This is brilliant for those who are interested in Martial Arts. It's a nice introduction and an easy magazine format. It doesn't get too in depth as it covers several different styles in several different countries. It's nice it goes beyond the usual familiar styles and shows less common styles like Escrima and Japanese Bowmanship. If you're looking at this review you'll be interested enough to buy the DVD, then you'll probably want to start studying a Martial Art. Go for it.

This really is very very good value for money.!! This is a must for anyone that is interested in martial arts.
A very well balanced show of education and action. Set in Exotic if not sometimes sinister looking locations Chris uncovers the secrets behind many Martial arts. Surprised it never made it to BBC TWO? It should have!!

Brilliant DVD Debut from Chris Crudelli

Chris Crudelli, Martial Arts expert, has been on our screens for a good few years now, with "Kick Ass Miracles", "Kick Ass In A Crisis", and this 10-part documentary, "Mind Body and Kick Ass Moves", in which he travels all over Asia discovering some of the more secret and exotic Martial Arts such as Escrima, Ninjitsu, Shintaido, and several others. Crudelli is a highly-skilled Martial Artist himself, having over a decade of training, and being a licensed Kung Fu teacher. He is also a master of Chi/Qi/Ki, and gives us a few demonstrations of his own manipulation of this power, though mostly takes a back seat and lets the show's guests give more detailed examples. That's really the one gripe I have with this series; it's fascinating, and makes someone (like me, anyway) much more interested in taking up some form of Martial Art, but the series would be far more enjoyable with a bit more action from Chris. He really plays down his own abilities, which, yes, perhaps aren't quite on par with the Grand Masters, but he's our guide for the series, and it'd be nice for our guide to demonstrate his abilities a bit more. Would've been 5 stars if we'd had more from Chris himself, though I do admire his modesty. Apart from that minor fault, it's a fantastic series; buy it if you can.
