A lot of heart - and power

I hoped for a movie (double-bill) worthy of being in my DVD collection. I didn't know what to expect. It turned out to be better than expected. Taking the two movies together as they continue one story, I was touched by the sincerity of the characters, especially Azumi, while they get into their many situations fighting the bad guys. Azumi and her friends were trained from childhood to be assassins and they also had a strong sense of doing good whenever required. Azumi 2 faced Azumi with more situations to battle out with sometimes massive numbers of opponents straight out of comic book legend. I didn't want the adventure to end but I'll certainly watch it over until I know what they're saying without looking at the subtitles! (subtitles were the best I've seen. Very clear and large).

  Out of its tiny mind

These are quite brilliantly lunatic little films, though the second does let the side down by losing pace and style from the first. Azumi has the best mental bad guy ever, and Azumi 2 the most brilliant villain's armour. Very silly, very fun, very cheap to buy. Result!

These two movies are awesome. If you're big on Asian films with plenty of action and violence and bloody swordplay and over the top stunts and at the same time an awesome story, then you will certainly like AZUMI. Also on the plus side she is gorgeous so it's hard not to like her. well worth the money a must own classic set of unique films.

Azumi 1 can be seen alone, but Azume 2 will complete the story. I was blown away by the first one, with great action and lots of chop suey. Remeber this hero is based on a comic, so wearing a miniskirt is probably not historical correct, but Azumi looks great, so guys will prefer this. Movie 2 feels a bit too long, but afterwards it is satisfying to have seen it all and ends are tied up.

  I thought 1 & 2 were fantastic.
