It begins on the street. It ends here.
Inspired by a true story, Samuel L. Jackson and Ashanti star in this inspirational account of a high school basketball coach (Jackson) who received high praise - and staunch criticism - for benching his entire undefeated team due to their poor academic performance...

I don't think it matters if you're into basketball to enjoy this film. First off, It's got a great cast - Samuel L. Jackson and Rick Gonzalez definately shine through as the excellent performers they are. Coach Carter has everything a film should, a great soundtrack, a gripping story line, good looking people and some memorable quotes and funny moments. Most importantly the films gives off a message, whether you've been in that situation or not it's very thought provoking. You need to watch this film!! Even my 51 year old Mum loved it!!
The true to life story of Coach Carter, who defiantly believed that the students at his high school were student athletes- 'first students, then have the privilege of being a basketball athlete'- proves to be the essence of his philosophy and his method in teaching and helping these youths who could be otherwise on the streets and in crime. A brilliant tale of belief, fighting for what is right and of course, basketball, Coach Carter and his team will tell you an initially gritty and ending in a heartwarming story.

In a few ways fairly good, but in load of other ways, quite bad.
I'm not really into basketball, and I don't like the stupid chavish talking the players do.
Samuel L Jackson was amazing he deserves so much better than this.
A couple of the actors were good but some of them were terrible.
It's not just the acting it's other things as well, I won't list them all because that will take age's.
I never actually wanted to go and see this, and I never did, but I had to watch it with my class mates in P.E.
Overall the film was okay but there were quite a few bad points but I suppose it's worth a look.
