Stanley Ipkiss (Jim Carrey) stars as a mild - manered bank clerk who stumbles upon an ancient mask which will bring to life his innermost desires. Tina Carlyle (Cameron Diaz) will prove a stumbling block for Stanley throughout this film played a brilliant role in her first film as an actress. Stanley and his sidekick dog Milo will take Edge City as a suprise. One of Jim Carrey's best films, The Mask will have you happy and in a brilliant mood after you have enjoyed it.

I saw this movie when it first came out in 1994, I absolutely loved and recently decided to watch it again... I had some good laughs at this movie but not as many as I used to when I was younger. The Mask is a movie aimed at kids, the comedy is almost all visual and fairly over the top crazy. There are some typical Jim Carrey moments in this movie but not as many as there should be.
Overall The Mask isn't a bad movie but I really feel its a one for the younger viewers, I remember as a kid finding this movie absolutely hilarious but now as an adult it seems a bit stupid. It's an easy to watch movie which certainly won't make any viewer feel bored for a moment...but in conclusion, The Mask is the perfect movie for younger viewers but older ones might just find it a little bit too childish to laugh.

Top 10 DVD Reviewer

This film is a childhood favourite of mine, and is still as entertaining when watched today as it was all those years ago. Jim Carrey steals the show outwright here, when he comes into possession of a mask, which, when worn turns him into a green legend who knows no boundaries or logic. The story is captivating all the way, and you're left wanting more- exactly the effect a good movie has on you.

The Mask is an Oscar-nominated action comedy film based on a series of comic books published by Dark Horse Comics. This film was directed by Chuck Russell, produced by Dark Horse Entertainment and New Line Cinema, and originally released to movie theatres in 1994. The film stars Jim Carrey as Stanley Ipkiss (also known as The Mask) and Cameron Diaz in her film debut as Tina Carlyle. Great comedy and well worth purchasing so do it now before it's too late....
