These seven wonderful one-offs are full of the most interesting and fabulously beautiful material you'll find anywhere on DVD. David Attenborough is the master of popular science and natural history documentaries and I can think of no other presenter or programme maker who comes close. His quiet, calm enthusiasm is nothing like the noisy, gushing, self-indulgent, unintelligent, nerve jangling rumpus that seems to have passed for presentation in recent years. The stories he has to tell are fascinating and the way he tells them is enthralling. His voice is never drowned out by irritating music and manic background beats in these programmes.

Anyone who is interested in natural history, conservation and wild beauty is going to enjoy all of these documentaries but the people with a particular interest in and love of birds are in for the biggest treat. 'Attenborough in Paradise' and 'Bowerbirds: The Art of Seduction' are full of indescribably gorgeous birds, displaying some of the most remarkable, comical and fascinating behaviours imaginable. This is an excellent collection!
