Popular singer-actor Takeshi Kaneshiro stars in the Japanese crime thriller Sleepless Town (Fuyajo). Director Lee Chi-Ngai provides noir lighting and a gritty urban setting against which his hero struggles with the forces around him.

Kenichi (Kaneshiro) is a low-level crook, making his living as a fence for stolen goods. He is enveloped into a gangland dispute when an old friend, Fu-Chan, returns to town years after killing the partner of mob boss Yuan. At the same time, Fu-Chan's girlfriend Natsumi reappears as well, with an offer for Kenichi he will find difficult to reject. Through its many twists and turns, Sleeples Town explores a criminal underworld where outlaws from all over Asia interact, creating unlawful alliances and initiating brutal turf wars.
