When Richard (Winstone) visits a London prostitute nine times in nine consecutive days, without once soliciting a single sexual favour, Naomi is at first gently teasing of his shy discomfort. As his questions about her lifestyle grow more insistent, she is suspicious, but ultimately intrigued by his persistence and mysterious motives. But the reason for Richard's visits, his questions and cups of tea, is one that she could never have guessed...
Writer/director Richard Hawkins earned Carl Foreman Award For The Most Promising Newcomer nominated at the 2006 BAFTA ceremony.

...he did it cause he loved the script.
thats an actor!
anyway, the film (not worth £11.99... more like £5.99 at most) is brilliant, very quiet as it consists of maybe a total cast of 6.
the story of a police man visiting a prostitue on a daily basis, not for sex but for answers. answers to what?? ahhhhh - that'd be telling.
though the film is dark (in terms of lighting), quiet and clearly cheap its a wonderful production. the performances are stunning. their is no sub story to get lost in, no other characters to develop, its wonderfully painful to watch, the atmosphere, never could there be a better time to use the phrase 'cut the tension with a knife'.
for fans of: nil by mouth, requiem for a dream, scum
