This is one of the worst films ever made, it is so camp it makes the original 60's Adam West series look hard core and gritty!
What the hell was Schmacher thinking with this day-glo nightmare. The plot is the worst out of the three previouse movies.
Allot of the blame went to Clooney as the Batman, but it is not his fault, and he is actually gives the best performance of the terrible cast. Chris O'Donnell is just a pain in the back side as Robin, Uma Thurman tries and fails to vamp it up as Poison Ivy. The character Bain is wasted, and in this he is givin the insulting injustice of being a mindless retard. Alicia Silverstone is awful as Batgirl or by the stait of her she should be called "Fatgirl" with he pouting lips that look like they could suck the bend out of a river! But the one who steals the show for being so bad he's amazing is Schwarzenegger as Mr.Freeze, There has never been so many pathetic ice related puns ever put to screen. The film is so bad it has to be seen.
This film alone killed the series dead.
Thank God for Christopher Nolan for giving us the amazing and adult re-boot's of Batman Begins and the Ultimate comic book movie of The Dark Night, as these two modern classics truly do show how terrible and inept Batman and Robin truly is.
This is a true train Wreck of a film, You have been warned!

Everybody knows just how bad this film is, it got critically panned on its realease and did terrible at the box office. Arnold Schwarzenegger is a joke of an actor in this film, he turns in his worst performance of hia career here. The one liners he has are embarassing...... You're not sending ME to the COOLER! being a perfect example! Chris O'Donnell is also shameful in this film as he might as well announce to the world that he can't act. It shocking just how bad this film is!

what can i say, i wont blame the actors i blame the director who cannot direct films like these. Batman and robin was totally ruined. Starting from the nipple suit to the so called batgirl (what the hell) Anyway i wont bother with this version of batman as it its just a overrated and nothing to do with batman franchise. Save youir money and get the first two batmans by tim burton.

It started out so spectacular with Tim Burton's two first films about the man dressed as a bat. Then it got a bit off the track with Batman Forever, but Batman & Robin was almost unwatchable. I've always been a Schwarzenegger fan, because he had his own way of doing things, but watching him as Mr. Freeze, always trying to be fun and do nothing but crack off jokes is unbearable. The Batman franchise has gone from lurking darkness to annoying oneliners, which cuts my heart.

And what's with BatGirl? What in the name of the freakin' lord is she doing in the movie? Alicia Silverstone is not a bad actress, she just doesn't fit in here - She looks way too confused and never finds her role. It was an awful idea putting BatGirl in the movie in the first place; what's next, Alfred as BatOld?

Oh it hurts...the pain, the pain...make it go away...
If you have any respect for both the character of Batman or cinema in general this film will most likely make you cringe and squirm in ways never before thought possible. Neon-drenched to migraine-inducing levels and full of painfully unfunny one-liners, 'Batman and Robin' is a cinematic disaster of quite shocking proportions. George Clooney has worked hard to get where he is today - the guy is an extremely talented actor and so here, in one of his first blockbusters, it's hard to imagine his career would ever recover. Uma Thurman, though typically stunning to look at, totally fails to impress as Poison Ivy, although in retrospect, she is probably the best thing about this movie. Need I go on...Alicia Silverstone looking quite lost as Batgirl, lame attempts at action, poor FX and as for the 'relationship' between Batman, Robin and Alfred - well, the film has more homosexual undertones than 'Brokeback Mountain' A perfect example of Hollywood throwing every concievable idea at the screen and hoping it sticks 'Batman and Robin' is a film that history should really try and forget. Christopher Nolan worked miracles with his re-invigoration of the franchise and his skill has gone someway to healing the pain numerous Batman fans must have suffered as a result of this celluloid monstrosity. I still have nightmares about this film to this day. Perhaps one day, Hollywood will apologise and reveal it was all a big joke....but then again, perhaps not! Definitely one to avoid...
