I'm so annoyed with myself for buying this boxset in 2011 so many years after the show originally began. I cannot believe how many random re-run episodes I've watched and thought to myself "hmm, this seems good..." and never actually bothered to purchase the boxset! I seem to have gotten in the frustrating habbit of starting to watch programmes a couple of years after they've stopped making them (I started watching Friends in 2006, and now this 2 years after Chad Michael Murray left - who, let's face it, is a vital component of the amazing-ness!!) Anyway, having finally bought it and watched the whole season within about 3 days (just couldn't turn it off!) I think it's absolutely incredible. I think it's great how basketball is a big aspect of the show and so guys are probably more interested than they would otherwise be, as well as the romance and love triangles, family issues, betrayal, courage, hope - THE LOT! I cannot stress how good it is! I would watch it for Lucas Scott ALONE! He is such a deep character and played excellently by Chad, along with all of the cast. The only thing I've gained by buying these DVDs 8 years late is the great price for only 7.99 - my season 2 arrived today after having ordered it literally as soon as the credits for season 1 rolled. Also great theme tune and song by Gavin DeGraw. The whole programme just made me feel good about myself and it will for you, too. Just buy it - you won't regret.
