Such a brilliant and funny episode, that I cannot fault it anywhere. It holds more suspense, humour, shock and fruit buns then I have seen in a long while. Keep the good times coming!

 A Welcome Return

If you've seen the previous Wallace & Gromit adventures, you'll know what to expect.

The animation and attention to detail are as good as ever, although by now it does feel a little bit like a re-hash of previous adventures.

It all starts well, with plenty of jokes, but the climax, while ambitious, lacks the inventive fun of Wrong Trousers.

However, despite it's minor flaws, it is a more satisfying aventure than Were-Rabbit - purely by virtue of only being half an hour long.

A bit pricey when it came out, but £5 is about right for one Wallace & Gromit adventure.

What a great Fathers Day present I had they are still great!

I have been a big fan of Wallace & Gromit since the start with A Grand Day Out, The Wrong Trousers and A Close Shave. The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit was most excellent too and I thought A Matter Of Loaf And Death might have been one Wallace & Gromit to many because Shrek became very stale with it's third movie. This is just as enjoyable and magical as all the other Wallace & Goromit adventures and for me was the highlight of last years Christmas television. I still find it amazing how Gromit can say so much with only the use of the expressions on his face. The amount of time, work and effort that goes into making a Wallace & Gromit film is tremendous and the Bafta award was more then well deserved. Wallace & Gromit is something us Brits love and are very proud to call our own because Aardman always keep the quality to a very high standard in all areas and the same can not be said with Dreamworks Shrek.

This is a great film ! Iaughed me socks off when i saw it for the first time! But then i grew out of it.... thats only because the only funny part was when the lady was hit in the head at the beginning with the losf of bread! Not worth it for the price though!

 Still fantastic!

This is a great return to television for 'Wallace and Gromit' after their trip to the bigscreen.Peter Sallis returns to voice Wallace while 'Coronation Street' actress Sally Lindsay guests. The plot is very witty and the whole programme is as good as the duos previous adventures! 9/10

Brilliant but not worth it for only 40 mins of entertainment

Brilliant voice acting from the likes of Sally Lindsay (Shelley in Coronation Street) and great plot and directing from Nick Park. A lot of humour but in my opinion you should wait for the price tag to come down a bit as the actual episode only lasts about 40 mins (probably with extras as well) but I presume there will be die hard W+G fans out there who want to buy it as soon as the dvd comes out.

 Cracking Gromit!

When this came on the T.V at christmas i was worried that it might be a let down but, once again, Wallace and Gromit proved to be the best programme on at the time. "A Matter Of Loaf And Death" is as good as the oringinal cracking adventures and better than their feature length film! A fantastically funny episode! a must buy! "Well done lad, very well done!"

I'll start off by saying that yes, £9 is quite a bit of money to pay for an episode of Wallace and Gromit as it only lasts about 28/29 minutes, however I would happily pay this as you sure are paying for the quality here and not the quantity.

While I don't believe this is as good or will be as memorable as the fantastic 'The Wrong Trousers' it is still a brilliant special that was long overdue. This for me was also the highlight of the 2008 Christmas proceedings, and unlike the recent additions to the Dr. Who franchise the quality of this BBC show hasn't declined, infact there's so much packed in to the 20-odd minutes it's hard to catch all the jokes/gags the first time that its worth a re-watch, so thank god they repeated it on New Year's Day!! The tone of this story is quite dark compared to their previous three outings, but is very simular to that of the movie (although this is better than the movie). Fans of the duo will be happy that this special has nods to previous outings and other Ardman works, while older viewers and newcomers should not be disappointed by the gags and jokes in this special of which there are many. Overall; this special proves Ardman still has what it takes to make great plasticine animations and cracking Wallace & Gromit adventures, heres hoping that they don't wait another 11 years to give us the next TV special, and that this will eventually be released in a case with the other three so that fans can buy them all together. A cracking adventure Gromit - 5 Stars.
