I was a fan of the original and looked to this remake with some intrepidation, however the remake/ reboot is every bit as edgy as the original.
Julie Graham did herself no favours with Bonekickers, but here she excels in the role of Abby Grant, exuding the requisite compasion, fear and strength previously brought to the role by Carolyn Semour.
Zoe Tapper star of cult favourite Hex (and soon to be seen in Demons alongside Philip Glenister of Life on Mars), forges a new charcater (not seen in the original) in the form of Anya. Zoe is a telented actress offering a dynamic of brains and sex appeal.
Meanwhile Paterson Joseph and Max Beesley who are clearly strong character actors should be commended for their restrain, allowing the ensemble cast (including the young Najid Hanif) to shine.
Adrian Hodges (Primeval) has done superb job of updating Terry Nations classic series and while not perfect it has much to recommend it.
