Having only watched this about 2 weeks before I went to see the Dark Knight, I was shocked at myself for not watching it sooner.
I'm a huge fan of the first two Batman movies done by Tim Burton, and after feeling let down by the other two, didn't really rush to see this re-working.
However, its totally amazing. The Scarecrow is terrifying, and its awesome seeing Batman build himself up to the level of coolness he deserves.
I didn't think I could fancy Batman anymore than I did, but Christian Bale and that voice, *swoon*
Brilliant!

This is a brilliant movie! Everything I've got to say has been mentioned already apart from the fact that this movie is 16.99 for the 2 disc edition, but the box set that features Gotham Knight and this edition of the movie is 6 pounds cheaper...
Brilliant Performances & Directing. A Great Adaption.

Batman Begins is a Magnificent movie. This new adaption to the Batman Series is great. Personally I didn't enjoy the old Batman films, because like the old Superman films, they felt a bit too childish and not really serious enough. The new Batman though is a lot darker and is a great modernised adaption to the series.
One of the most compelling things with Batman Begins is the amazing lineup of actors. All of the performances are great too. Christian Bale is a fantastic Batman. Micheal Caine is great as usual too. Morgan Freeman is convincing and its unusual to see him in such a small role but he's without flaw as well. Katie Holmes was surprisingly good as well.
The standout performance for me was Cillian Murphy though i thought that he was great and played a great character that i hadn't seen before in Batman.
Hans Zimmer also did yet another great job with the music which really added to the final product of the film.
Batman Begins was a great movie really didn't have a dull moment and didn't enjoy a film this much since Transformers. At first i gave the movie a miss but with all the hype for The Dark Knight i wanted to see this movie first. I would recommend this film to anyone, and i highly recommend it. The film has is great and will leave you gagging for the next Batman installment.
Brilliant Performances & Directing. A Great Adaption.
5 star film (acting/directing/music)
4 star product (extras)
4.5 stars overall.

This film is fantastic! After listening to the hype and excitment of The Dark Knight I thought i would get myself into Batman. And i wasn't disappointed by this film! Christian Bale is brilliant, and after watching the orginals, he is easily the best batman and this film is better than them by far. This isn't really a superhero film, its a film with proper storyline and there happens to be a guy who owns a bat costume! The Dark Knight is 10 times better than this and is a truely great film! Everyone should start to follow Batman from now because were in for a very enjoyable movie francise! (as long as they keep Christian and the fantastic story lines!)

After the pathetic train wreck of Batman and Robin, the blockbuster series was put on ice.
It took a long time to get some body with the guts to re-address this dark avenger. Thank god for Chris Nolan to give this series the much needed adult tone and dark brooding menace this character deserves.Forget the other four movies ever happened, this is Batman year one.Christopher Bale is without a doubt the best Batman ever, and until 2008 sequel The Dark Knight this was the ultimate comic book adaption. The plot in the film is very good, and the script is clever enough to give a great back story. Everything in the film a brilliant. But if you want the camp day-glo whizz bangs of Batman Forever and Batman and Robin, then this will disappoint, but also shame on you.
The Bat is back, Fear him!
A perfect adaption!

Amazing and incredible, great cast, a well written and directed piece of cinema and a more mature insight to the batman series, one of the most enjoyable movies in a long time, though i'm very sure the dark knight will thrash it, this and spiderman 2 are the closest to the best superhero movie so far.
Very Good

I think it could've done with a bit more action sequences, but other than that it was really good and done how Batman should be. Cristian Bale is the perfect choice. Looking forward to the sequel.
Finally the definitive Batman movie!

'Batman Begins' was released in 2005. Directed by Chris Nolan (Memento, The Prestige) this is a truly epic telling of Bruce Wayne's journey to becoming the Batman. Much like Richard Donner's spectacular 'Superman: the Movie', 'Batman Begins' perfectly blends a serious dramatic story with a true hollywood summer blockbuster.
Begins is also NOT a sequel or prequel to the other Batman films. Instead it sets up it's own new continuity that is more similiar to the Batman comics.
If you havent seen this film the best way I could describe it as Batman done like a cross between 'Gladiator' and 'Blade Runner'.
great start to the new, darker batman!

theres always a bit of a risk re-creating a comic book legend but christopher nolan has pulled it off in everyway possible, he had to move away from the 'comic' side of batman and make his 1st installment darker which he has achieved, now roll on the dark knight,i can not wait to see it, the joker looks absolutely fantastic and played by the late, great heath ledger, you just know its not going to let you down!
