In the wake of his parents' murder, disillusioned industrial heir Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) travels the world seeking the means to fight injustice and turn fear against those who prey on the fearful. He returns to Gotham and, with the help of trusted butler Alfred (a scene-stealing Michael Caine) unveils his alter-ego: Batman is a masked crusader who will use strength, intellect and an array of high tech deceptions to fight the sinister forces that threaten the city...
Director Christopher Nolan deliberately exorcises the camp and grand guignol of the previous movies and TV series. This is truly a gritty and brooding exploration of the beginnings of the Dark Knight, a faithful vision of Bob Kane's anti-hero from DC Comics.

This is by far the best batman movie that has been made so far. (with the obvious exception of "Batman - The movie")
It is far darker and more disturbing then the comic incarnatiions that have come before. Christopher Nolan direction is fantastic and with a great performace by Christan Bale the end result is an action movie you can watch time and time again.
Best batman movie ever made

This is the best batman movie and this can easily beat the old batman movies. Christian Bale is an excellent Batman.
This movie has a good story, great action scenes, good comedy screens with the butler (Michael Cain).
One of the screens is very funny when Christian Bale is unconscious and he then wakes up with a burning plank of wood on him and he tries to remove it and the butler says to him "master bruce, whats the point of all those push ups if you cant even lift a plank of wood".
In this movie batman does martial arts and he has a new batmobile.
This is a five star rated movie. A definite watch and a definite buy. I cant wait to see the sequel to this movie "Dark Knight".
I think the Marvel film makers should take notes!

Bruce Wayne goes out of his way to discover himself and to help Gotham City to restore its glorious self that Bruces parents once helped build.
This film was not given enough hype for the dark horse it became. Christian Bale who is one of my faveourite actors delivers a incredible performance which is believable and drags you in to the story line. I especially like how Batman is portrayed as a realistic super hero within this film. A must see!!!!!!
