They don't want you to know what you are.
Lincoln Six-Echo (McGregor) is a resident of a seemingly utopian but contained facility in the mid 21st Century. Like all the inhabitants of this carefully controlled environment, Lincoln hopes to be chosen to go to 'The Island' - reportedly the last uncontaminated spot on the planet - until he makes a terrible discovery that everything about his existence is a lie and that he is actually more valuable dead than alive. Together with a beautiful fellow resident named Jordan Two-Delta (Johansson), Lincoln makes a daring escape to the outside world he's never known. Now, with the forces of the institute that once housed them relentlessly hunting them down, Lincoln and Jordan engage in a desperate race for their lives.

Good but very very weird and very very confusing

This film was not what i was expecting at all. It starts off very happily as these people are kept in a facility with views out onto the open ocean and a tropical island.
But after Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson escape it becomes a rather ordinary hunt-them-down-and-kill-them-stroyline. The acton is good and the stroyline makes perfect sense until the end where you are left with some unanswered questions (i won't go into detail). This is a good film but the ending is slightly underwhelming in my opinion. I enjoyed it but some aspects could of been improved. Worth a rental anyway.
