Back To The Future (1985): 17 year old Marty McFly got home early last night. 30 years early.

Michael J. Fox stars as Marty McFly, a typical American teenager accidentally sent back to 1955 in a plutonium-powered DeLorean "time machine" invented by slightly mad scientist Dr. Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd). During his often hysterical, always amazing trip back in time, Marty must make certain his teenage parents-to-be, meet and fall in love otherwise he'll never be born...

Back To The Future - Part 2 (1989): Getting back was only the beginning.

A visit by Marty and Doc Brown to the year 2015 seems to resolve a few problems with the future McFly family. However, when they return home, they discover someone has tampered with time and Hill Valley, 1985; they must once again get back to 1955 to save their future.....

Back To The Future - Part 3 (1990): They've saved the best trip for last... But this time they may have gone too far.

Mary Steenburgen joins the cast for this rousing conclusion to the popular series. Stranded in 1955 after a freak burst of lightning, Marty must travel back to 1885 to rescue the Wild West Doc Brown from a premature end. Surviving an Indian attack and unfriendly townsfolk, Marty finds Doc Brown is the local blacksmith. But with the Doc under the spell of the charming Clara Clayton, it's up to Marty to get them out of the Wild West and back to the future...

If you'll pardon the pun the 'Back to the Future' trilogy is, without question, timeless entertainment. A true trilogy, with a sense of completeness and resolution, Zemekis' time-travel action comedy is one of the greatest time travel movies ever created. Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd are both perfectly suited to their roles and the chemistry between them provides the perfect fuel for the three films. Full of clever in-jokes, inventive concepts and ideas and repeated motifs I could happily watch the whole trilogy in one sitting. This 4 DVD set contains some interesting extras, though, as a lifelong fan, I can't help but wish for more. But the films themselves are as entertaining and mindbending as ever and it's hard to believe that the original is over 20 years old. Some kind of paradox, surely...

     Such a fun trilogy!

The Back to the Future Trilogy is undoubtedly one of the must fun and exciting trilogies ever! After it all you feel sad that its over and you just want more!

BACK TO THE FUTURE 1: 5 Stars *****
An amazingly fun and exciting adventure that kicks off one hell of a trilogy. Very clever.

    BACK TO THE FUTURE 2: 4 and a half Stars **** 1/2
Excellent, but not quite as good as the first.

BACK TO THE FUTURE 3: 5 Stars *****
A fitting end to the trilogy, and possibly my favorite because of the Wild West setting.

Christopher Lloyd is brilliant, and so is Michael J Fox (shame he didn't do much else due to his Parkinson's Disease)

You'd think that films that were made over 20 years ago have well and truly had their day. But these three excellent films may have something to say to that. Every film in this fantastic boxset is a gem with the second really standing out for me. They have great stories innvolving time travels and the blunders that can alter the future. It's all very light hearted and actually funny at times and as you can tell from the hype it's getting on here, they are amazing films. You really have to see these because it is almost guaranteed that you will like them.

Its time to go back... back to the future!
