This is the story of the First World War on the Western Front from the summer of 1917 to the end of the conflict some 18 months later, covering the Allied offensive at Passchendaele, Germany's final offensive in the spring of 1918 and the victorious Allied attacks of the summer and autumn.

Featuring some very rare and previously unseen footage from Canadian, American and British archives the DVD also includes a full-length extra film entitled Sam's Army.
