This is the show based on the original stage show of the 70's and not the film of the 80's. Filmation own the rights to the name Ghostbusters and is the reason why the animated show of the hit film is called the Real Ghostbusters.
The shows follow a similar layout to Filmations other hit series "He-Man".
Jake Kong Jr., Eddie Spencer Jr. (Grandsons of the original Ghostbusters in the stage show) and Tracey the Gorilla spend each episode dealing with the troublesome Prime Evil (looks like a robotic Skeletor) and his minions.
This DVD, even though is titled Vol. 1, actually comprises of episodes 6 to 11.
