The Moment Jeff Bridges became a Legend

Easily one my favourite films of all time.
Difficult to explain why, except that when you are watching the movie it just pulls you into the Lebowski world and makes you part of it.
It probably doesn't have that effect on everyone though.
Even without this element, the film boasts of a Sublime Script, Dialogues and Brilliant direction by the Coen Brothers.
And EVERY cast member delivering a Memorable performance.
But there's one man who shines above all others in this movie and that is THE DUDE himself. Jeff Bridges.
This literally is the Role he was Born top play, not sure how much acting is going on here, but it is a pure joy to watch.
The Dude will not Abide you not watching this movie. Go Get.

hands down the most well written and performed comedy I've ever seen, and for under 3 quid? that should be all the reason you need to buy this . the Coen brothers on top form when they made this one and easily their finest hour. unmissable and demands repeat viewings, just buy it already :D

  Chill Out with The Dude

Mistaking him for millionaire Jeff Lebowski two thugs break into the apartment of the chilled out and unemployed Jeff (The Dude) Lebowski, believing that they can extort him for money, and soiling his living room rug in the process. Hoping to get getting a replacement for his rug The Dude visits his wealthy namesake but soon finds himself caught up in a complex conspiracy involving all manner of criminal activities.

With little plot to speak of it is important that yet again the Coen brothers have managed to create some truly memorable characters. Jeff Bridges is fantastic as The Dude and the foul mouthed Walter, played by John Goodman, delivers some brilliantly funny lines. Aside from arguably few scenes in the middle of the movie The Big Lebowski is consistently funny throughout and one of the best comedy movies of the 1990s.

Fantastic film. The humor is so cunning and suttle. The cast is amazing and the dialouge is so well written. I have watched this so many times. It just works on so many levels. A masterpiece.
