The English dubbing ranges from average to cringingly poor in places - so you may think you watch the subtitles instead to get around this. But no, the subtitles are for hard of hearing only, meaning you frequently get '(crashing and banging)', '(Train whistles and rushes past)' and '(sobs)' popping up on screen, making it very difficult to concentrate on the movie.

And to add insult to injury, the subtitles are timed to the English dialogue so there are frequent places where there is text over silence when watching it in Japanese, and other times where it's just that little bit off-time as to be uncomfortable.

Once a leader in anime in the UK, Manga Video are repeatedly letting down anime fans with shoddy treatment of the product.

This film deserves to be seen, especially if you are looking for something other than the norm. It's a shame that some of the very basic principles of presentation have been ignored in this release.

Firstly i wasnt sure what to expect with this film the front cover and most reviews dont do it much justice, it can be a little confusing at the beginning but when you get into the story it really is gripping.

This is one of my favourate anime films ive seen so far. If you are a fan of anime, or films in general you will enjoy this 5/5

Beautiful to watch, clever and yes indeed, heart warming.

Left me smiling, especially after a couple of wonderful scenes where the music and action just match perfectly...

Definitely worth watching, and I can't wait to re-watch it.
