I love family guy but this is a shoddy waste of money. It is mocked in a later family guy episode as such and should be avoided. The plot is dull and the jokes are lacking. Save your money for any other family guy series.
CLASS!!!!!! Spent Megs college fund on a midevil catalpult!!

Pretty good for the first movie. Storyline could have been better but still way better than the simpsons movie. Even funnier when the swear words arn't beeped. Defently funny to watch but the series are still a bit better. Overall very funny and defently worth buying for all family guy fans.
Super but not as good as the series

Let me start by saying that I'm a HUGE Family Guy fan, having all the seasons, the Star Wars film, PS2 game and this DVD. With that out of the way, I have to be honest when I say that at times, this film let me down.
The film in total is divided into 3 parts. The red carpet feature before the advertised film, the film itself (which is in a further 3 parts - 3 episodes) and then the "audience reaction" to the film where the characters from the series comment on their thoughts. I thought that the red carpet sequence was absolutely hilarious and fit the Family Guy humor 110%. The first episode-and-a-half of the advertised film also gets my 2 thumbs up as it's full of the Family Guy wit that makes the series so successful.
However the last half of the film was reaching quite a bit. The 'jokes' managed a chuckle every now and then and I felt like they had just run out of interesting and comical moments, especially on the topic of sex (when you see the film, you'll know what I mean). And the "audience reaction" was just as weak as I found the last part of the film, if not moreso.
I am glad I've got the film and I have watched it more than once (mainly for the red carpet sequence), however it's not a film that I would regularly see myself watching if I want a night of entertainment.
Stewie Griffin is most awesome and such!

This DVD boasts extra segments at begining and end that were not aired, an interesting commentry by Seth Mcfarlane et al and a fabulous cast of diabolical characters. Set out in three parts for TV, this is a much better, smoother ride. If your a fan of Stewie especially then this is a MUST! But fans of other characters will not be dissapointed.
"Rude, provocative, satirical...Brilliant" Says The Mirror, and they were right. Packed full and overflowing with humour that'll have you laughing long after, I highly recommend this to even those whom, like myself, saw most, if not all episodes when they were aired. Genius!

What an absolute achievement, this really deserves four and five stars and definitely no less.
If you like the original episodes you will love this, just as funny, just as clever, just as rude, just as awesome.
Just when you thought either Brian or Peter were you favorite characters, in comes Stewart Gilligan Griffin.
Stewie is most certainly mine and most Family Guy fan's favorite character, and most likely best cartoon character.
Stewie's fast paced jokes, and Brian's comic sarcasm and Peter's idiotic retardidness, really comes together to create one of the greatest cartoon movie and program of all time.
Good but not as good as simpsons

A good start to the Family Guy movie era. Plenty of crude jokes that we all know and love. Funny in most places, but a bit of a disappointing ending. I know its not supposed to a drama or anything, but I'd prefer it if there was a bit more added on at the end. Not sure the price is right for this DVD though...
Bladder burstingly funny!
