Powerhouse acting! Powerhouse dialogues! Stunning line ups of acting giants (Lemmon, Pacino, Spacey) and underated character actors (Ed Harris, Jonathan Pryce and Alan Arkin). James Foley has done a great job in putting this film together based on a great script by David Mamet. As for Alec Baldwin, his small but VERY EFFECTIVE cameo is an ABSOLUTE STUNNER! POWERFUL FILM!
Fantastic

If you haven't already seen this film already then i can't recommend it enough. The acting is superb throughout and the dialect is so memorable you'll be quoting for days. In my opinion, this film represents some of Pacino's best work.

What do you get if you mix Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon, Kevin Spacey, Ed Harris, Alan Arkin, Jonathan Pryce and a dash of Alec Baldwin? The answer, one of the most memorable and instantly quotable movies ever made.
The extraordinary cast was enough for me to buy this film alone knowing nothing of the story, it was money well spent. The story revolves around 4 salesmen (Pacino, Harris, Arkin and Lemmon) and thier by the book boss (Spacey) trying to sell real estate. Pacino plays Ricky Roma, the slick salesman who is always one step ahead of his co-workers, Lemmon plays Sheldon Levene, the struggler of the group who is having a bad streak. Support comes from the angry and disgruntled Dave Moss (Harris) and the bumbling George Aaronow (Arkin) who are also having a difficult time at work.
Do not take your eyes off of Alec Baldwin in his brief and only scene as the electric Blake, sent to the office from "downtown" to motivate the group, his scenes are truly amazing and play well against the disheartened Dave Moss.
A few twists and turns and a small but pivotal role from Jonathan Pryce make this movie a must see. You can clearly see why Pacino was nominated for an Oscar for his role.
With a bonus disc you will definately not want to miss and a definitive guide booklet about the production and the stars, you will seriously wonder how you went so long without owning this DVD!
It will be hailed as a classic, for now it is simply a masterpiece...

With a script to die for and a director's wet dream of a cast, James Foley turns David Mamet's Pulitzer Prize winning play into an unimaginably tremendous film. It is essentially a bunch of guys talking rubbish and trying to sell real estate to deadbeats, think 'Death of a Salesman' only much more angry and mean spirited. It's about the failing American dream and the people out of it's grasp. As tragic as it is funny, Alec Baldwin's 8 minute cameo in which he tears the entire room apart with a verbal assault the likes of which has never been seen again (until Al Pacino does it to Kevin Spacey later in the film) must go down in history as one of the greatest scenes ever committed to film. Top class performances from a top class cast. This movie is so good I used it as a screen name.
