9 hours of laughter and toilet gags

although nothing they have done before or since gets near the young ones, this is still a brilliant comedy with plenty of "willy and toilet"gags and the finest one on here is definately the gasman episode.rik mayall is brilliant in this with the funniest facial expressions and with occasional appearances from there dropout friends dave hedgehog and spudgun, this adds to the mix.awesome viewing.

Still hysterical fifteen years after its finish!

Bottom is great - two sad losers that live together in the same flat and absolutley hate one another!

Rik Mayall as Richard Richard - a sad ageing lifelong virgin with a microscopic penis who has no social life or friends apart from his flatmate Eddie.

Adrian Edmondson as Eddie Hitler - Richies flatmate who only wants to keep his head down in life and enjoy himself but sadly he can't as his annoying flatmate just wont die!

Some hysterical moments such as Eddie disguised as the Grim Reaper on stilts, the episode where they play chess resulting in possible the greatest fight sequence ever and finally the episode where the duo go camping on Wimbledon Common where they end up hunting for their supper and avoiding the flasher!

The Young Ones is beginning to look very dated but Bottom still looks fresh.

Five stars is still not enough

This is one of the best in British comedy , An amazing high in Adrian Edmonson and Rik Mayall's career the sheer lunacy will have you on the floor with tears in your eyes. The first season in my opinion is the best they ever made , Great for die hard fans of the comic strip and young ones 10/10

This has got to be the best comedy series ever for me, these guys are hilarious and deserve more than five stars. There is not a single episode I do not enjoy nor a single moment when I am not laughing. The jokes never get old and I will never get bored of seeing these two at work. Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson are legends. Simply fantastic.

Five stars doesn't even come come close!!!

There is perfection and above that is a level that 'Bottom' operates on in my eyes, it is untouchable and above anything before or previous and something that wouldn't be commissioned today. I could write a 10k word thesis on why this is so good, but as I still laugh as loud watching an episode for the 100th+ time as much as I did the very first, that sums it up neatly as to how brilliant this is!!!

when i was a young chap instead of donning a hoody and causing mayhem friday nights 9pm was bottom time,,
if you'd not watched it, you missed the conversation next week at school, eddie hitler and richie rich rock in this cult comedy classic, that olders ones may just say never lived up to the 'young one'

best episode 'burglar' sellotaped to the roof

avoid the dutch import as its missing 'contest' from series one

  Have me....I'm a Love Albatross!

Not the most intellectual comedy, and doesn't require you to think about it...just laugh!! If you like fart gags, people hitting each other with various impliments and general grossness, then buy it!!

Rik and Ade prove themselves to be comedy gods and in my eyes, deserve to be put up on big fat hairy pedestal!!

Very quotable and I find I can watch it over and over..I spent most of my mis-spent youth watching this, and will continue to do so! Not one for your gran, unless she enjoys seeing someone with their jugs on back-to-front or with a pencil shoved up their nose!!

Since having these taped on a video tape i decided to buy the whole boxset. I decided to watch these again as it was a while ago i saw them. Every episode still makes you laugh to this day but some are better than others. Bottom was probably the highest comedy of the 90's and its a shame there isn't more series thanks to the bbc, typical. Hopefully these will be released on blue-ray someday. You can't help but laugh at the jokes and the violence with these 2 legends. Bottom woulden't be the same without rik mayall or ade. Any bottom fan has to own these.

I have seen all the episodes and not 1 disappoints. Each keeps you laughing all the way through. Its a shame theres only 3 series as i could watch even more bottom, its something theres not alot of these days is funny comedy but with these 2 you get it all. Probably one of the best comedies to exist and the best double act of all time. Hopefully we will the these 2 comback someday as there just not enough comedy like this anymore. Anyone who likes adult comedy will love this. 10/10
