Watched this on the telly with my little Brother Naddy (9yro) and we were both pleasantly surprised at how good this movie was.
Well acted, exciting, funny and a good time will be had by all.
P.S if you enjoy this, chek out a movie called The Mighty, also a hidden classic.

This movie has it all:
Fantastic story centred around a boy, his family, school life, having a brother, having lost his mother, being brought up by just his father, a child's innocent belief, a big wedge of money, a Nativity play, Euros to the UK(!), laughs, tears, bit of romance, fantastic acting and observations, really well written, kids bring this to life and did I mention the Train Robbery ??

There is a great deal of subtle style to this.
Nice observations on how the kids like to build their own private world out of cardboard and how kids can handle things that are hard to handle and how innocently they can get a bit warped.

I would recommend this as a Family film.
This would make a great Xmas movie. Not only as there is a Nativity sequence, but the real Joseph turns up and ends up deliver his lines in the school play!!

Great music, subtle, evocative and right for each moment!

Recommended feel good movie. Well Done to Danny Boyle and all the actors and those involved. Under rated. Don't miss this!
Tom.

the main actor is fantastic, and this film captures the essence of families. Could be enjoyed from both adults and children, it is a fantastic film.
