Madagascar

This film has almost everything you could wish for from an animated film humour, a good story and great animation. The only reason i haven't given this film a 5 star rating is because certain aspects of the story are a bit unbelievable but i won't tell you what they are because i don't want to spoil it for you. But apart from that this film is great and as is the case with all Dreamworks films great for all the family.

This is just one of those movies that you can't dislike! It's got an uncountable number for one-liners and loveable characters! The only problem is the story line is a little underdeveloped and nearing the end of the movie you find yourself fidgiting! I'd still recommend it for a fun night in!

I thought this film was good enough, of course it will keep all the kids entertained but there is just enough to keep adults watching too.

this is a great movie dont listen to the bad review its not naff its brilliant and really funny not as good as t he 2nd one now but still fantastic and worth the watch before you watch 2 or even if you have seen 2 buy this its great

This isn't the best animation film out there, not by a long shot. But this is still a great film for the kids and I think adults can enjoy it to. If you love 3D animation films then I fully reccomend this.

Normally I don't bother writing reviews for tat but seeing how many good reviews this has had already, I feel I have to offer an opinion from the otherside. Someone bought me this for Christmas a year or 2 ago and I thought well, OK Shrek was good, haow bad could it be?
I'm sorry but it's just terrible. The comedy is incredibly pathetic, I don't think I laughed once except at the penguins who save the movie from deserving zero stars. Nothing seems to actually happen throughout the entire film that's the problem. When it ended I was like, is that it? There's just nothinfg to it at all and the whole film seems to rely on a scene where some furry thing sings I like to move it.
Maybe younger children will enjoy watching it as there's lots of bright colours for them to stare at but other than that there's nothing here but poor comedy and very weak story.

One of the best animated films since Finding Nemo. Really funny and leaves you wanting more...

Madagascar is just great. Good lengh movie and just great, i love watching it. I really want to see the 2nd one (2008). It's a great kids movie, i love the bit when they sing i like to movit movit. Thats great.

My son has this film and every time he watches it I always have to watch it too. It has a quite a few adult jokes in it but for me Sacha Baron Cohen is the star (voice) of the show.
So if your sick of the same DVD your kids keep on making you watch, then buy this for them/you and laugh aloud with them!

This film is genious from start to finish. My girlfriend and i were in hysterics when Marty and Alex are running to one another on the beach. We must have watched the scene roughly 7 times. And we still laugh weeks later. You have to see this film. If you dont you seriously are missing out.
