Better late than never...
Some may say 40 year-old Andy Stitzer (Steve Carell) has it all: a great job working at an electronics store; an awesome collection of superhero figures and comic books; friendly elderly neighbours who he watches TV with; and a few cool friends. However, there's just one small problem... he's still a virgin!
Once his co-workers find out about his secret they start a mission to get Andy laid ASAP! But nothing seems to work... until Andy meets 40 year-old mother of three, Trish - a woman who doesn't want sex in her relationships!

An enjoyable Steve Carrell vehicle, that could really do with thirty minutes shaved off the running time to tighten the plot and keep the gags coming. Not exactly essential viewing, but it can certainly hold its own against the recent Will Ferrell comedies - and at least this one aims to have an emotional impact with a more believable storyline and less surreal jokes.
Andy Stitzer (Steve Carell) is a 40 year old virgin who has the perfect life. He works in a electrical store SmarTech and is very happy with his life. He gets asked by a group of men who work in the store to come and have a game of poker with them, he goes and shines at the game. This leads to Andy's future. The 40 Year Old Virgin is packed full of very clever jokes and puns. One of the best comedy films of this Century and is one to be watched over and over again and will not gather dust like some other films do.
This is a very FUNNY and all round GREAT film. This film had me laughing from start to finish.
(Good Points)
Steve Carell is a extremely funny and talanted man who places this great character Andy Stitzer who is this 40 year old virgin (duh name of the title) and its a story about this man who found it hard to find a girlfriend and therefor never got round to having sex and the older he got the harder this got to over come. This is a great film to help inspire people who have a similar problem.
(Bad Points)
Well from what i can remember from the film there was no bad points. Its a great film u could watch over & over again.
This is a great comedy and its mostly aimed at teens & open minded people who dont get offended easily.
I give this film a 5/5 :D
This film was class. I really felt sorry for the guy and had tears in my eyes at some points (of laughter). It did drag on a bit at some points and could have been cut at points. Worth £4.99 though...
Steve Carell is fantastic as the 40 Year Old Virgin, in a tale of the guys miss-adventures in trying to get laid! The gags in the film may not be subtle, but they sure are funny, as he goes from one embarrassing situation to another in his quest for sex, but why the film really works is because of the subtle and innocent performance of Carell, the guy is such a likeable character, and you really do cringe when he goes to the extreams of loosing his viginity. Just check out the chest waxing scene Carrell did for real, I thought I was going to die laughing, it is this scene alone that pushes the film from a very good comedy to a outstanding comedy. This film is more than a gross out sex comedy, as the film also is very warm, and sweet natured in equel measures. Anybody who Liked Knocked Up and Superbad, should buy this movie now.
