'The Sopranos' series is one that you either like or dislike. It's not everyone's cup of tea. At times it can be quite violent and gruesome, and also boring in places especially if you don't quite understand some of the plot. You have to listen carefully to the speech and be able to remember everyone's names because it can get a bit confusing.

The good thing about 'The Sopranos' story line is that there isn't too many sub plots going on at the same time. Each episode tends to wrap up each sub plot into one episode, with the main plot carrying on through.

The episodes are about 50mins long, yet they feel much longer which isn't a bad thing because by the end of each one you want to watch another.

The box set is well presented, all in a glossy finish. The box opens up to a inner folded layout that has printed images of the featured characters on it and contains the insert and holds the DVDs.

'The Sopranos' will at times have you on your the edge of your seat with suspense, especially due to the professional acting. But also features some humor with light jokes (mostly dark innuendos). So if you like mafia based films/tv, then you're sure to enjoy this series and it's others. My personal favorites are series 4 and series 6.

I personally found this series isn't as powerful as it's predecessor 'Series 4'. Overall I give 'The Sopranos - Series 5' a rating of 7/10

The 4th season is by no means bad but a noticeable dip in quality did occur (by The Sopranos standards anyway). The 5th season in my opinion rectify's that and is another fantastic season. It's not as good as the first 3 seasons but this is top class TV. The stories generally have a higher pace than in the 4th season and character development is excellent in this season. The tension in the season is quite high too with a brilliant build up towards the final 3 episodes which are all epic. The introduction of Steve Buscemi as Tony's cousin is a great addition to the series. Season highlights include Irregular Around the Margins, The Test Dream, Long Term Parking and All Due Respect. The style is on top form, the music fantastic, the stories great and the action great too. Overall, fantastic TV yet again from The Sopranos and better overall than the 4th season.

I cannot think of a better TV series. The Sopranos Season 5 just builds on the excellence of the previous seasons. Superb performances throughout, fascinating plot, this season has everything one could ask for. The height of entertainment. Truly magnificent!!!
