This isn't really a sequel but it is part of the Whispering Corridors collection. It doesn't have any real ties to the first movie in the collection apart from the school inwhich the movie is takes place. The story very much like the first is based on a certain few students who have their own problems in the strict education and social system of South Korea. The story is well written and really makes a big statement about homosexuality in conservative Korea and the bullying which can stem from it.
My only dislike about this movie is the amount of horror, the horror moments, or what can be called the "scary" scenes will make you feel fear but there just aren't as many as you'd expect from an Asian horror. The story is deep and touches on a lot of subjects in society not just Korean society, but even better is the actresses who really make this story work. And finally the directing, its a very good and truly gets you into the atmosphere of the movie.

Overall Memento Mori is a good movie, but if you're just wanting an Asian horror thats going to scare you senseless you better look elsewhere, this movie mostly concentrates on telling a meaningful sad story and not trying to make viewers jump. Compared to Whispering Corridors I feel this is the better movie, the story is a little better and the scares are definitely better.
