Wishing Stairs is the third installment in the Ghost School collection, it stays with the setting of an all girl school, and very much like the previous two concentrates on elements in the personal lives of the students. Like the previous movies Wishing Stairs bases itself around the competitiveness forced upon students by parents, teachers and fellow peers, as well as the way society believes you should look and behave.
The story is well written, well directed and in most parts well acted. Compared to the previous two Wishing Stairs has a lot more horror moments and definitely better quality of scares. The first hour of the movie is devoted to building the story, you spend that hour getting to know the characters and wondering how all of this will wrap up, and then in the final 35 minutes you'll experience all the horror along with the explanation/conclusion of the movie.

In my opinion the only bad thing about Wishing Stairs is the character Hye-jo, she is supposed to be a strange girl but at times can seem slightly retarded, I feel this distracts you from the story as you can't believe anyone would really act like that.
Overall Wishing Stairs is a good movie, you'll be fully entertained from start to finish and really get into the storyline. There's more horror in this movie than either of the previous ones, but it's just slightly below par compared to some of the other Asian horror movies on the market.
