The television series based on Masamune Shirow's Manga and Mamoru Oshii's highly influental film, Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex takes viewers to futuristic society where technology has saturated citizens' daily lives. Along with the new technology comes new types of crime that exploits it, but female cyborg Major Motoko Kusanagi and her team of police, Section 9, devote their lives to chasing criminals, both on land and in cyberspace.

Without a doubt, one of the greatest anime series' of all time. You can rewatch it time after time. If you like anime and have a brain that works well, buy this series!!!

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend and I am so glad I did. Compared to many other amine series box sets this is so cheap as usually your looking at £30-£40.
There are many episodes all of which are great (if a little confusing)
I love this series, a great buy

I'll start with the great value for money in terms of viewing... Play.com offer this boxset for £16... that's a right bargain, 26 episodes each disc containing interviews and extras which adds to the value for money. If you think that each episode is approx 25mins long and theirs 26 episodes in this boxset your getting great value for money.
Right now onto the anime, it's really good if you like guns action and i'd say a futuristic feel to it. I watched it and thought it was great but there were times when i was watching it i got a tad bored but throughout it was pure class... i don't think it would appeal to every anime fan however so i'd advise maybe watch 1 episode online or something? just to get a feel of what it's like... But definatly buy it here you won't get a better price!
