The story of how Keane formed in 1997 at school in Sussex, did their first gig in '98, signed a record deal in 2003 and went on to conquer the world with just a voice, a piano and a set of drums...
With a combination of archive footage (the crucial three at school, rehearsing and performing their first gig at the legendary Hope & Anchor) and on the road footage (from Brixton Academy to the Coachella Festival via Radio City in New York to Atlanta, Georgia) "Strangers" gives a unique and compelling insight into the band's story: how they formed, what inspires the music and what it's like to be a newly successful band on the road.
The film charts Keane's musical progression from a guitar band quartet to the piano-based trio that they've become today and shows how they went from playing tiny gigs on the UK pub circuit, to winning two Brits and selling nearly five million copies of their debut album "Hopes & Fears" around the world.

This is the biography of the fantastic band all on two discs.
I've watched this many times and love it. The documentary is very fun to watch and so is the live shows!
I gave this four stars because of the navigating around the DVD. When you get to the menu screen and click documentary, it will go through the full thing (easy) but throghout the documentary on the bottom of the screen are other options to go through the DVD such as 'gallery' or 'making of videos' but once you click these, it can be difficult to get back to where you were in the documentary.
Apart from the navigation, this is a great purchase.
