 Stargate - SG-1

Stargate SG-1 is one of the best series to have hit T.V screen's. Lasting ten series and spining off into two movie. The frist 7 series follow's SG-1 lead by Col Jack O'Neal fighting more bad guys then you can shake a stick at. At the Start of series 8 he is made the leader of Stargate Command and Sam Carter gets command of SG-1. Series 8 is the start of change for the Stargate series as Gen Hammand who lead the Command for 7 year's has left, to lead Homeword Command. Series 9 and 10 shows O'Neal leaving the SGC to take over HWC from Gen Hammand. SG-1 is desbanned but is bourght back together by LT Col Mitcheal, the new leader of SG-1. A new bad Guy shows up this year and leads into the next. It show's SG-1 working harder then every to keep the Galexy safe.

Stargate SG-1 leads to spin off series Stargate Atlantis and now Stargate Universe. With 17 years of Gate Travel now has never been a better time to be a Stargate Fan.

Another Sci-fi that has suffered as Seasons have GONE ON.

Stargate SG-1, started off really well with Richard Dean Anderson, making some really good jokes/stories in Seasons 1-5, but after that it seems to have suffered through unimaginative writing & daft, dumb & silly plots, from after the Season 6 2 part opener. Seasons 1-5 were the best with most imaginative writing Maybourne being involved in a plot to take over the SGC & the Gou-ould making very adequate enemies with all sorts of sheganigans/plots going on for which I would give Seasons 1-5 a 4 & 5 star rating, for this time, but after that from during Season 6, it seems to have suffered a mid life crisis, going steadily down hill, with a sort of Religion being involved, especially where Anubis, being involved. Seasons 9-10, we have Richard Dean Anderson departing, so suffering from his loss/humour & possble interest, who knows?, & Ben Browder & Claudia Black, from Farscape, being brought into the SGC, Season 9 was pretty poor, 2 star rating but Season 10 1 star rating, whatever you do DON'T BOTHER, just got WORSE with a Religous Cult of the Ori, being introduced, "Hallowed are the Ori" they preach, which gets me thinking what the hell is that all about?, really daft/dumb stories, hence the game is up for Stargate SG-1, 2 more follow up films are made, The Arc of Truth & Continuum are made as to tie up any loose ends, but what could have been much, much more turned into garbage hence overall I give this serial a 3*** star rating.

great series if your a big fan this is the ultimate collection and one you would want if you can afford it some of the episodes however can get repetitive with similar stories but its got good humor and seriousness too it big shame that Don S. Davis who played Hammond died rip to him

 Episodes Missing

Stargate is brillient but this collection is not in its entirety, some episodes are missing and not in order and some are repeated which is a bit of cheat. Sorry not inpressed.

Worth the money but sometimes chronologically confusing

This is a good series and a nice box set with a good price, certainly worth the money, however some of the episodes are out of order and two episodes from season one are at the end of season two in this box set. Not sure why they did that with the season one to season two episodes, but the other ones which were out of order was acceptable as it kind of made things easier to follow anyway and the order was unimportant where they were jumbled up, so no worry about that.

If you like the show, buy it. Worth the money.

what a program shame that they had to stop making them one of the best shows i have seen to date and i have the complete series. They need to get started again.
