Seth Rogen stars in Jody Hill's hilarious new comedy Observe And Report as Ronnie Barnhardt, the head of security at the Forest Ridge Mall. He patrols his jurisdiction with an iron fist, combating skateboarders, shoplifters and the occasional unruly customer while dreaming of the day when he can swap his flashlight for a badge and a gun.

Bargain hunters at Forest Ridge Mall get more than they bargained for: a chubby flasher in a ratty bathrobe. They're repulsed. Security guard Ronnie Barnhardt isn't: 'This disgusting pervert is the best thing that ever happened to me!' Catching the flasher may be his ticket to a real police job and to romance with a hot cosmetics-counter princess. Only one thing stands between Ronnie and destiny: a tall, handsome cop who actually knows what he's doing. Seth Rogen (Knocked Up), Anna Faris (the Scary Movie series) and Ray Liotta (GoodFellas) star in this mall-to-wall comedy covering acres of wild, sometimes raunchy, up-in-your-grill funny - all under one roof.

Had high hopes for this movie, Im not much of a Seth Rogen fan, but trailer looked solid.
But it turned out to be a mish mash of A Comedy and Psycho Movie. And not a good one at that.
They were a few laughs, but generally it was quite uncomfortable viewing, more vicious than edgy.
Set Rogens character started off as likeable but deteriorated and became a psycho.
The only decent part was Ray Liottas role.
Very Disappointed.

I'm a massive fan of Seth Rogan, his sense of humour and lovable rogue images is so appealing, from 40 Year old Vergin, Knocked Up, Pinapple Express and as one of the wacked out cops in Superbad, even in CGI as BOB The Blob in Monsters VS Aliens, he never hardly puts a foot wrong......that was until know!
He plays a Mall Cop, but where the similar Paul Blart Mall Cop had a very lovable character, Seth Rogan in this comes across as his mentally disturbed psychotic, racist and potential rapist cousin. It's hard to cheer for a guy when his idea of dating is basically stalking, and then having sex when his date is blind drunk. Jim Carry came unstook way back in 1996 with the similar darker and edgier than usual The Cable Guy, but over time that film has grown on people, and now stands as a underrated dark comedy, but I doubt in a decades time this film will be given a second chance, as it's so pointless. Ray Liotta pops up as his real cop nemesis, but even a acting heavy weight like Liotta is wated, as the plot is aimless, and it seems to be made up as they went along, with the main emphasis of a film is trying to catch a flasher. Half way through it will dawn on you that there is nothing to the film apart from the odd bit of funny on liners and Bad language, and that's about it. It's undemanding, and not the worst comedy ever, but you have to start expecting more from Seth Rogan after his excellent past comedy record. Watching this only makes you want to rewatch Superbad, Knocked Up and even Paul Blart Mall Cop.

 Funny and very, very dark.

Seeing as this was made by the makers of Eastbound & Down its hardly a suprise that the humour in this film is dark and tends to push the boundaries. An excellent film and possibly one of Seth Rogen's best performances and very unlike the usual roles he plays. Highly reccomend you watch this. Clearly from the previous reviews its not everyones cup of tea but make you're own mind up !
