I had many reservations about this film the storyline sounded a little paper thin and Sandra Bullock had lost her way of late in her last few films.
So after giving in to the wife we sat down to watch this on Region 1 import and i was very suprised the film was really good, Excellent chemistry between the lead roles of Reynolds and Bullock and most importantly quite a lot of laughs.Yes it is a girly flick but it is watchable for us blokes we have the funny Reynolds who has really matured as an actor and the beautiful Sandra Bullock who is a fantastic comedy actress.Betty White steals the show as the mad Grandma for me i would say to anyone who likes romantic comedys watch this film its funny, good storyline and has fantastic performances from the whole cast 8.5/10.
When I first saw this film advertised I didn;t think it was going to be good, thought would be to gimmicky.
Its one of those films where its got such an easy story line to follow but has a few laughs along the way. Also girls its got the lovely Ryan Reynolds in it ;-) .
It can be a little predictable, but if u want a light hearted film to cheer you up then this is the one.
I have ordered this on DVD and have enjoyed watching this film. come on girls order the film and get your self a glass of wine. worth a watch.
(ps like the scene after she goes out on a bike ride - lol)
Best film I have seen this year!! I have never laughed so much during a film in a while! Love Sandra and Ryans chemistry in it!! And BETTY WHITE... she is a legend! Just as funny as she used to be in Golden Girls
MUST SEE!
Not a big fan of Rom Coms in general, only something like Devil Wears Prada gets my approval.
Last one I watched Confession of a Shopaholic, was lame.
But this movie was really good, very involving and non stop fun all the way to the closing credits.
Excellent performances by Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds.
Story is predictable, but well executed.
And whoever decide to use Alaska as the backdrop to set the movie is a Genius.
Highly Recommended forver.
IF you are a sandra bullock fan you will automaticlly love this film but it has its ups and down but in true sandra style rather predictable but you still wana see it even thought you know its coming Its a film for all the family i personaly think old or younge
