On one random day in the San Fernando Valley, a dying father, a young wife, a male caretaker, a famous lost son, a police officer in love, a boy genius, an ex-boy genius, a game show host and an estranged daughter will each become part of a dazzling multiplicity of plots, but one story.
Through a collusion of coincidence, chance, human action, shared media, past history and divine intervention they will weave and warp through each other's lives on a day that builds to an unforgettable climax.

a sprawling masterpiece from writer/director paul thomas anderson. stunning in nearly every way this film is truly awesome.
the interweaving story flows fantastically with the whole cast delivering flawless performances and, in some cases (most notably cruise), career bests. the script is heartbreakingly good with lovely turns between sharp and funny dialogue to moving monologues.
the three hour running time may put some off but id highly reccommend sitting down with it and seein it through. it is truly worth it and will leave you feeling refreshed, and with a new outlook on life, having seen it. at this price, so worth every penny.

Quite simply one of the best films ever made. A cracking ensemble cast help tell many different stories where all the characters have a connection! This film will rip your heart out and kiss it better, a cracking script, and a Tom Cruise performance you will never forget!
It's incredibly moving yet very funny at times. fans of Boogie Nights will really appreciate this as P.T. Anderson comes back with an epic drama! Can't give away any storyline though, it must be watched....but, you'll either love it or hate it!
Outtakes are included in the color bars bit on the menu, they're pretty funny! Plus the documentary which last approx. 1 hour 30 mins is brillianit as it documents the process from the first cast read through to the days they went over budget! The price it is now is exceptional value!
