Forever Young. Forever Cursed.

Dorian Gray is Beautiful. Charming. Powerful. CURSED

Young Dorian Gray (Ben Barnes) arrives fresh on the London social scene and is taken under the wing of corrupt, devilish Lord Henry Wotton (Colin Firth) who introduces him to the seedy pleasures of London life. Desperate to protect the youth and beauty captured in his portrait, Dorian swears he would give anything to stay as he is...even his soul. Slipping deeper and deeper into a world of sin, sex and celebrity, his deeds grow ever more evil in an attempt to hide his secret.

But when he eventually finds love, Dorian struggles to hide the secret behind his eternal youth. Is it too late for redemption or can love un-lock Dorian's humanity and save his soul?

I love the book. I'm glad they made a GOOD adaptation of it. This was an amazing film, filled with everything Dorian Gray should have. Ben Barnes was an amazing Dorian, despite the differnce in feature from book to film. Lord Henry was perfect for Colin Firth, he was born for the role.

Great film, worth a buy!

:D

only negative - a tad long.

Expected this to be disastrous, but was very pleasantly surprised.Comparisons with the original film are largely invalid as this film takes a totally different stance on Oscar Wilde's enduring morality tale. This plays like an updated quality Hammer film-and i can give little greater praise than that. The acting and direction are excellent, and the whole film is intriguing and thought provoking.I cannot understand some of the negative reviews that I have heard. For anyone interested in timeless tales conceived and performed with distinction-then this is for you.Nice to see a modern horror-based film that has both an agenda,a decent script and that remains true to it's own convictions.A tad old-fashioned,but for me that is never a bad thing.Highly recommended.

 Utter Rubbish!

It Is A Highly Recommended Film and I Say That From A Late Teen Point Of view. An Ingenius Tangle Of Mystery, New Age Agression And Victorian Era. Me and My girlfriend Enjoyed It Very Much Sooo I Would Say It Is Suited To Couples Who Like To Be On the Edge Of their Seats But Also Deep In Thought Of What Might Happen Next. Theres Alittle Bit More Violence Than Expected And Slighlty More Nuidity But That Fitted Perfectly With Ben Barnes Character.

 Fantastic

This film is full of suspense and kept me gripped all the way through. I loved how they portrayed the fact of how much someone can change just by a slight push in the wrong direction. Although the film does differ from the book, i think it was slightly better. I loved the film with great cast and acting and cant wait for it to be released on dvd.
Loved it =)
