The President's Last Bang

The President's Last Bang is based on the assassination of President Park Chung-hee on October 26th, 1979.
The movie brings you the all the events on that date before, during and after the actual assassination. The movie doesn't really focus on one main character in general but shows you the lives of a few to give you a sense of the real feelings some might have had on that evening.
The beginning of the film feels slightly confusing, many characters are introduced and shown within the first 30minutes and it can become a tad distracting. It's quite hard to understand who is who and what exactly is going on but by around the 35-40min mark it all starts coming together a little better. The moments just before the assassination is when the movie really picks you, the true thrill is brought in and you start to get entangled in the storyline.
With this being based on true events we don't always get the ending we hope for and unfortunately its the case in this movie. The ending seems very sudden, the suspense is building and you're on the edge of your seat but all of a sudden, thats it... shows over.
It's unfortunate that this happens but I suppose the writer/director can give us an ending if it isn't really known.

Overall: The President's Last Bang is a decent movie, the start might seem a little confusion and make you want to turn it off but stick with it and you'll enjoy it. It presents the facts and motives well giving you a good idea of why the assassination went ahead etc...
It's a decent movie at a low price, I'd recommend checking it out.
