Awesome film. A MUST SEE!!! Such a good plot and Bale is incredible. Watch it now!!!
This movie will amaze you.. christian bale plays patrick bateman.. a well educated handsome 26yr old living the dream..he works on wall street during the day and by night is a cold blooded killer full of rage and madness.. set in the yuppie heydays of the 80s its one of those films that you actually side with his character as the villian. to this day im still confused about the ending and what it means.. like vanilla sky you will end up with your own theories.. maybe the book would explain more..but overall this movie will grip, shock and make you laugh. never in a movie have you seen someone get butchered to a huey lewis song.. fab. american psycho,,, no introduction necessary.
A brilliant film with one of Bale's best performances. It is hard to classify this film as it has a bit of everything but the standout is the very dark comedy, particularly the scene with Jared Leto with Huey Lewis' aforementioned hit as the background music. Some great send-ups of the decadence and greed of the 80's in particular.
