A patient is brutally murdered in the hospital, the attacker is promptly incinerated when his vehicle blows up in the car park. Witness to a series of bizarre and horrifying incidents, Dr Dan Challis investigates and comes face to face with the sinister figure of Conal Cochran, maker of Halloween masks.

Intent on reviving the rites of all Hallows Eve, a night of ancient sacrifice when, long ago, the hills ran red with the blood of animals and children, the diabolical toymaker is planning a devilish trick or treat for the children of America.

 very good

to my surprise i found this film to be very good although it has nothing to do with michael myers like the other films in the series.first time writer and director tommy wallace brings us something new.this time its to do with witches and the occult.tom atkins gives a very good performance as dr challis.there are some gory moments and a few scares to keep the film going along at a good pace.there are 2 versions of this film.this version by M.I.A runs at a 93 min and 53 secs and is uncut.but has poor picture quality because it was taken from the vhs master.the other version which is by sanctuary is also uncut but was pre-cut by the distributor before being submitted to the bbfc and all the gore scenes have been trimmed.

 Pathetic

This is one of the most pointless, rediculous and absolutely terrible creations in the history of film. The story is so stupid its laughable. Some magician guy sells masks that will kill all kids that wear them on halloween night. A boy and his girlfriend figure this plan out and try to stop it. The film ultimately ends when they fail, and thats it. The masks turn the kids into a pile of worms and insects and we'r left with a bunch of crap unexplained. The effects are poor, the acting is poor. Its just a bad film. Check imdb for more views if you have to. Avoid.

Ok I know halloween fans were dissapointed in this movie and to an extent I can understand where theyre coming from as it doesnt have Micheal in it but from my understanding John carpenter wanted to try something new with this one. He wanted to bring out a new halloween movie every year with a fresh story and characters and it could have worked but unfortunatly as far as halloween fans are concerned michael makes halloween what it is. As for the story in this movie I know one of the previous reviewers said it was stupid and over the top but comon its a horror movie who says it has to be realistic if you want realistic go watch a documentary or something. I actually thought the story was juast as good in this one as it was in the first and I thought it was a more worthy sequal than the second one. Maybe if it had a different name to it than Halloween it would of been more successfull.

 the best in the series

 Good Sequel, Lame Storyline

I Thought it was a good movie, even though they thought it was a big mistake not having Michael Myers in the movie, but it was okay, but the Storyline was utter rubbish! a magic pumpkin? a mean come on! its not Michael Myers what-so-ever, so its a good buy, but its a boring film, just be warned!
