Paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) devoted his entire life to the study of dinosaurs, but he never imagined he´d have to be face-to-face with them...again.
Eight years later, InGen´s debacle as well as the political and economic climate have taken their toll in the area of dinosaur research, as public and private funding are becoming increasingly extinct. Desperate to fund research for his new theory of Velociraptor intelligence, Grant is particularly vulnerable when wealthy adventurer Paul Kirby (William H. Macy) and his wife Amanda (Tea Leoni) approach him with a proposition. They will open their checkbook to him if he will accompany them on an aerial tour of Isla Sorna, a second InGen site. Just adjacent to Isla Nublar, this quarantined island has become both a primordial breeding ground for John Hammond´s creations and a magnet for thrill-seekers eager to encounter them.

Top 10 DVD Reviewer
Sam Neil is back in this one, but the film now has the "been there, seen all that" feel. There is some great Dino-action. The T REX vs Spinosor fight still does impress, and the film rattles along at a break neck pace. Along with Raptors hunting the cast, we now have to contend with the flying reptiles ! The film is allot shorter than the other two. But then just as we are getting to what is going to be a nerve shredder of a climax, with the Raptors cornering the survivors. The film just ends !
You are left scratching your head asking "is that it ?"
What a letdown, you feel cheated.
Also after the fantastic remake of KING KONG , Jurassic Park 3 feels even more limited and allot less impressive.
For all the films faults, it's still a pretty good sequel and a good adventure !
Nice try Joe but your no speilberg

Well i had high hopes when i went to see this film after enjoying the first two as a kid but it just wasnt the same. Perhaps it was the fact that the raptors look different or that it is just a film that is made by taking bits and pieces from the jurassic park books and adding them together or perhaps it was because it lacked one key ingredient.. ...SPEILBERG! He was the one that brought the other films to justice but he skipped this one and it left me dissapointed but it is till an ok film buut i would advise you to stick to the previous two
