The ultimate DVD presentation of the ultimate Hong Kong gangster action movie!
A simple but compelling tale of two brothers - Ho Tse Sung (Ti Lung), a successful counterfeiter, and Kit Sung (Leslie Cheung), a rookie graduate of the Hong Kong Police Academy - the plot focuses on Woo's favourite themes of honour, brotherhood and loyalty.
Incarcerated after a deal goes wrong, on his release from prison Ho decides it is time to go straight. However, he is coerced back into a life of crime by his former associates and his need to help his best friend and former right-hand man Mark (Chow Yun-Fat), who has fallen on hard times. Ho is also attempting to reconcile his relationship with his policeman brother, who blames him for the death of their father and is coming under increasing pressure from his superiors because of his familial links to organised crime.
A series of heists, double-crosses and shoot-outs lead to a climactic battle in which two men find themselves fighting for their lives and their honour...

John Woo's gangster epic from 1986. Starring Chow Yun Fat, Ti Lung, Waise Lee, Leslie Cheung and Kenneth Tsang. And cameos by director John Woo and producer Tsui Hark. This film offers great acting, plot, music, action and character development. The Steelbook release from Optimum Asia is also very good, both quality and the extras on the second disc. A Must See film for the heroic bloodshed genre fans. Very entertaining.! 10/10.

On this release the original score of the film has been dubbed over with the score of Speed (yes the Keanu Reeves film). It's very noticable that the score does not belong to the original film. I can't get Speed out of my head while watching it.
