Sorry but i bought this film on the strengths of the reviews on here, very disappointed,no gore and i don't get why its a 15 rating ? The idea is good but it just doesn't get going ? One star and i had to push at that.....Poor

The film had an ok storyline, the price was quite good but not worth watching more than once in my opinion.

  Good film

I was a little wary about watching this film at first due to the reviews i'd seen for it on here and imdb. People mentioned that it was terrible and predictable, but i am a big fan of jared padalecki so i gave it the benefit of the doubt, and i was not disappointed!!
This film had me jumping in certain places and i constantly kept changing my mind about who the killer was. I was not expecting the big twist at the end, and i was a bit surprised. All in all, a very good film, and a great bargain at 2.99!

It was good for a low budget film

Although low budget, the film was interesting and at times surprising. What made me watch it was Jared Padalecki and I actually liked Cry Wolf overall. If you are looking for a film to pass the time, then this is it.

Cheap, boring & very badly acted.
I was amazed to see the positive reviews on this site, were they watching the same film.
The plot is convoluted to the extent that it is impossible to care for the characters (not that you would given the standard of the acting).
Please avoid this poorly executed attempt at a 'clever' horror film.

  Cry Wolf

This low budget mystery/horror/slasher film directed by Jeff Wadlow is an intriguing little film. Its cast does a good job but at times it feels as though they aren't bothered. This is tougher to ignore when it is the lead. Jared Padalecki and Jon Bon Jovi are really good and stand just above the rest.
The film is about a group of boarding school pupils who after a murder decide to create their own murderer, but it all gets too real and someone becomes the killer. The film keeps you guessing with many possible suspects. I had suspected the final twist its not a "WOW, I never expected that twist" but its a twist, some get you, some dont't.
The film has a few tense moment but not many. There aren't many scary scenes either.
Overall the film is quite enjoyable. It makes you think who is the killer. The story is good as is the acting. Not the scariest horror but worth a watch.

  Great Film All Round (:

This film surpassed my expectations of a low-budget movie; it has excellent acting and a gripping plotline. The price makes it well worth a watch.

Cry Wolf is a great film. The storyline is very original. It was a great low budget film, that was shot nicely and had a great cast. Jared Padalecki was great and it's good to see him in more films when he's on a break from Supernatural. Lindy Booth was good and we saw her step up to a main role in this film. I think that she did a great job and acted it out well. Julian Morris had a good first Hollywood appearance. But i think the film made him look good. Sometimes the expressions on his face were flat/lifeless and it felt like he really wasn't trying. Jon Bon Jovi wasn't bad as the teacher either, I'm a fan of his so I'm just going to say, stick to making music and not acting.

The film built really well to the end and it had some great twists at the end which were brilliant to see. They really turned the story on its head and made up for the small lack in pace through out the film.
The problem i had with the film was that yes, it was original, but how do you make something original thats also contemporary and fits in well. Cry Wolf did this okay. But there are better examples of it. And i think it's just an average film, and there wasn't anything really that memorable about it, that made it special.

3 star film
4 star product (great DVD extras really helped to sell it)

3.5 stars overall.

  A clever idea

Not your typical teen horror. This features a cast of unknown, but good, actors and a great storyline. It has its fair share of jumpy moments and a killer who is unlike any other. Just under an hour and a half long, it won't change the world or win any oscars, but its defininitely worth a look for under a fiver. The DVD also has loads of extras, which is pretty rare for a horror film, including rehearsals, trailers and a video-documentryof the making of the film.
