Fear takes a flight...

After attending the funeral of her grandmother in Dallas, Lisa Reisert (McAdams) must take the dreaded red eye flight back to Miami to make it to work the next day. Lisa soon meets Jackson Ripner (Murphy) and there is an instant attraction.

However, moments after take-off, Ripner reveals to Lisa his real reason for being on board: he needs Lisa's help to kill the Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security who's scheduled to stay at the Lux Atlantic Hotel, the hotel of which Lisa is the manager. If she refuses to help, Jackson will call his partner on the ground and have her father killed.

At 30,000 feet, Lisa has no where to run and no time for rash judgement...

This quick and effective thriller soars on take off but slows on landing.
Mcadams makes a surprisingly charming lead and is the perfect foil for Murphys charasmatic villain. Their initial dialogue on the ground and then in the air is brilliantly written as Murphy drops hints that he has singled her out for his nefarious plan.
Once back on the ground the thrills are still electric but Craven never reclaims the claustrophobic atmosphere he achieves when the film is airborne.
Red Eye hints at a successful career in thrillers rather than horror as Craven seems left behind by the new "Splat Pack" directors.

For £4 this film is a must have! Cilian Murphy is great as the charming, creepy villian, and rachel mcadams is great at being a damsel in distress. The climax for this film is fantastic! It's guranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat. A great, hugely under rated thriller!

Not as bad as you are lead to believe

No one expects much from a thriller rated at '12' so don't be expecting anything too heavy from this; however its still a pretty good attempt by horror master Craven. The two lead actors work well together, the story is complex and intruiging (and there are some unanswered questions at the end) and its set in a real claustrophobic setting. Its worth a fiver without a doubt, I'm ordering my copy now.

Being a fan of the Wes Carven scream franchise I watched Red Eye and was quite surprised. Not a typical Wes Craven film, more psychological thriller than straight out horror. Very good acting from both the leads and is a good watch at only 1 hour 23 mins.

I bought this after seeing a trailer for the movie and thought that it looked like a decent watchable movie.

And I can tell you it is.

You'd think that as most of the movie is based on a plane that it might feel a bit stretched out but it doesn't at all. And that's because it moves at a fast pace and there is always something happening.

It contains a few twists and turns and still keeps you on the edge of your seat even if it's only rated 12.

Overall this is a great short Thriller and both lead actors do a great job in keeping you hooked!
