Set in a 19th century European village, this stop-motion, animated feature follows the story of Victor (voiced by Johnny Depp), a young man who is whisked away to the underworld and wed to a mysterious Corpse Bride, while his real bride, Victoria, waits bereft in the land of the living. Though life in the Land of the Dead proves to be a lot more colourful than his strict Victorian upbringing, Victor learns that there is nothing in this world, or the next, that can keep him away from his one true love. It's a tale of optimism, romance and a very lively afterlife, told in classic Burton style.

Though never quite reaching the giddy heights set by 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' Tim Burton has still managed to serve up an animated gen with 'Corpse Bride' Stunning to look at and painstakingly put together this is a suprisingly sweet tale of love and loss. The songs, whilst certainly good, are never quite as good as the fantastic numbers from 'Nightmare...' and the sheer wealth of inspired lunacy seems somewhat lacking considering this is a Burton film - it's not quite strange enough. But this is far from criticism this is a wonderful, heartfelt tale that will delight and enrapture audiences. If only as much care and attantion was lavished on all animated features......

 Just brilliant

Another great stop motion movie from the brilliant Tim Burton. It's quirky which makes it laughable and the songs from Danny Elfman are just so well written.
It's another classic that you should watch again and again

 This Is Just Utterly Amazing!

This goes to show, there is life, even in death.
I adore this movie.
The voices for the characters were spot on, the storyline itself was spot on.
My kids yet again loved this movie, its full of anticipation, love and music.
I love the part where Victor meets his dog in the underworld, but seriously you have to watch this to understand what i mean.
Tim Burton you've done it again, superb work, superb voice casting and charming.

 I love this movie

Most people will compare this to Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, which has better songs and scarier characters than Corpse Bride does, but in its own right Corpse Bride is a fantastic film.

I love the characters who are charming, quirky and very Burton-esque with exaggerated features, I also love that in the scenes in the afterlife have vibrant settings whilst the settings in life are dreary. Burton also uses jokes such as "why do you want to go up there, when people are dying to get down here" to add humour into the very dark film.

Corpse Bride is a great film with a charming story and defiantly worth buying.
