  Another burton classic.

Another dark, kooky gem from Burton. This has an original storyline and amazing animation. There's great music and so many funny little touches to watch out for. The voices are perfect and the story is fun enough for kids and still manages to engage adults. A worthy partner to Burtons other classic 'Nightmare before Christmas'. Give it a go, you shouldn't be disappointed.
And if you enjoyed this you Must see frankenweenie... Its Amazing!!

The film is brilliant the ending isn't, its up to you

I am only giving it one star due to the fact that the ending is terrible, the whole film is brilliant throughout until the end, where you want it to be something else, not what TIm Burton made it. It is a great film and a must buy, but be doubtful about the ending.

  No Nightmare Before Christmas

A lot of people are mistaken and believe Burton directed Nightmare Before Christmas when infact he didn't, Henry Selick did.

I just can't help think that Burton created this film hoping it to be another Nightmare Before Christmas that he actually directed. It is okay but it is nowhere near the standard of Henry Selick's piece, Selick is a master of animation, just look at Coraline!

  A Tale of Two Brides!

Shamefully, this is a film that I never saw first time around and it took me only til recently to finally catch it - to my immediate embarrasment that I had!

The spiritual (though not direct) sequel to the awesome 'Nightmare Before Christmas' this is another visually stunning stop-motion journey through the Gothic fairytale imagination of Tim Burton. When Victor (Johnny Depp) finds himself accidentally betrothed to the Corpse Bride Emily (Helena Bonham Carter) whilst his earthbound bride to be Victoria waits for him, Victor must choose which bride (and which world) to remain with.........

Beautiful stop-motion animation, imagery and character design combine which contrast the living and the dead worlds, with a terrific Danny Elfman score, lyrics and outstanding voice work from a star-studded cast to make this a genuine joy to watch. The extras are decent - lots of small five/ten minute featurettes etc which vary but some contain fascinating little insights into the production process.

A worthy purchase and addition to any collection!

Corpse Bride stands out for a few reasons, its wonderful animation and its soundtrack that fits the feel of the film. Apart from that its an average film.

  A Burtonized Love Story

Corspe Bride (2005) - ****
In this mesmerizing animated effort from Tim Burton, Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter voice two characters brought together despite the latter being dead. Burton's eye for creating gothic worlds of wonder is allowed to run wild here and the difference between the gloomy land of the living and the exuberant underworld is extraordinary. An inspiring film, voiced by an all star cast and doused generously in Tim Burton's trademark flair for the gothic. Superb puppetry, but over rather too quickly.

The stop motion is perfect. Ok this isnt as good as Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas but it is very close, the songs are perfect on both films but what is good about this movie is the comedy it is an incredible movie its a classic. The reason it is not as good as Nightmare before Christmas is beacause the story is unique and totally tim burton. Corpse Bride is brought to life with Helena Bornham Carter and Johhny depp who are amazing in this film and bring the puppets to life also Albert finney is hilarous in this movie he is perfect. I love both movies.

Don't get me wrong I love it

but because I'm such a big fan of "Tim Burton's a nightmare before christmas" I was a little let down by this because its just no where as good. It is amazing though and fun to watch. But if you're expecting something as awesome as "nightmare" then you won't get it, well not quite anyway.

  Very good
