At last! One of the funniest comedy shows in recent memory finally makes its way to DVD. An offbeat comedy set in a hospital, Green Wing throws in a bit of soap opera and a dose of the sketch-show to create something unique and absolutely hilarious! Created by the team behind Smack the Pony, the series features some of the finest comedy cats to adorn our screens in quite some time.
Green Wing follows new surgical registrar Dr Caroline Todd (Tamsin Greig) through her first day at work and beyond, starting out as she means to go on - dishevelled and under-deodorised! Along the way she meets an assortment of bizarre and demented characters including: Guy Secretan (Stephen Mangan), the smooth talking part-Swiss anaesthetist and all-round misogynist; Dr. Alan Statham (the ever-excellent Mark Heap), possibly one of the kinkiest doctors on the ward (that's saying a lot too!), a man whose affliction is to think out loud (something that the cheeky intern Boyce likes to exploit quite frequently); then there's the dashing, but aloof, Dr. 'Mac' Macartney (Julian Rhind-Tutt), whom Caroline may or may not have a big-time crush on...
Be prepared for one of the most surreal journeys you're ever likely to take as you dive into the anarchic world of Green Wing Hospital!

One of the best comedies in years, Green Wing combines surreal visual gags with sharp observational comedy. It has a cast that's a who's who of TV comedy including faces from Spaced, Black Books, Peep Show and Brass Eye. As well as this, there's even a cliffhanger to make you want to get series 2.

The best British comedy ever.
And could possibly be the best comedy in the world.
You couldn't be anything other than crazy to star in this.
Or even to watch this.
Although it is very rude it is very funny.
So just consider buying this item.
Gets you wanting more

If your going to buy this dvd, you may aswell buy series 2 aswell because you will be kicking yourself that you have to wait to watch some more episodes. Has to be one of the funniest things to come out of channel 4, full of laughs and a good story to it. Easily worth 9.99 and both series at 19.98 is even better. Highly recommended, cant say a bad thing about it other than it was finished too early. Needed another series atleast.
