Paul and Agnès have been going out for quite some time, and Agnès is shocked to learn that Paul would rather live with two roommates on campus than move in with her.

Each year the French government filters out students who are potential candidates for high-ranking government positions. They are shipped off to schools known as Grande Ecoles, where they are trained to become the country's future leaders. It is here that Paul meets his roommate, Louis-Arnault. Paul is strangely attracted to Louis-Arnault without realising so himself. Upon seeing this, Agnès becomes jealous and proposes a bet: whoever gets Louis-Arnault into bed first, wins. If Agnès emerges victorious, Paul may no longer explore his homoerotic yearnings. If Paul nabs the booty, Agnès will simply walk away.

Meanwhile, Paul also meets Mécir, a young Arabic worker, who shows him there is far more to life than elite colleges and study. They embark on an intense clandestine affair as Mécir instructs him in the intimate pleasures of the male body.

 Absolutely Terrible

Basically, i think the title of my review sums it up!

I read other people's reviws before buying this movie, the reviews were generally positive, and i generally like french movies so i bought it, and was quite looking forward to watching it...

DVD arrived 2 days later. I was watching the movie with my boyfriend. We were both left so dissapointed by this movie, we felt like we waisted money and time watching it!

The only thing that was right with this movie is Salim Kechiouche, he is a very good looking young man, and a good actor too, not to mention his perfect body that he was very happy to show off! And why not? He should have been the main star of the movie!

Now about what was wrong with this movie... Well, where do i even start?! Pretty much everything! Firstly, it didn't make any sense! I read the review beforehand so i knew what the movie was about, but if i didn't i would have had no clue what is going on in this movie, because it kept skipping from subject to subject not making much sense! Secondly, very bad acting from all the main actors and actresses! Thirdly, could the director not have found slightly better looking main actors? The main actor was particularly bad, he was just so dull, there was nothing intersting about him. And finally, myself and my boyfriend found this movie quite racist potraying all the Arabs as lower class...

I could go on and on about why this movie was so bad!

I would not recommend this movie to anyone, you will just be wasting your time and money!

as previously mentioned by judelawncl this film does portray a bit of racism, but not in the way that judelawncl made out, the film showed the way that Paul was raised (not to talk to the working class, especially Arabs) and not to promote racism as Paul himself makes positive remarks when Mercir is bullied by co-workers.

The story follows a web of lies, love and sex (featuring full frontal nudity) I am almost fluent in French and could make up for the lack of good subtitling, which in places was not readable (white text on white bed sheets).

This film requires watching twice to fully understand it.

All in all not a bad film. 3 outo f 5.
